Thankful Thursday

7 things I'm thankful for:
  • Sweet conversations, like this one: Daniel recently asked - "where is Jesus?" - and William responded with excitement, "He's everywhere - He's here in the room with us right now! You just can't see Him - but He's here!"
  • A cute folder: I got it last night at Bible Study. It's covered in matroyshka dolls! As I was looking through the folders to choose one, it quickly caught my eye. And just as I started to touch it, my sweet friend/mentor Deanna came up & said "I think there's a folder in there that you'll really like!" So it's more than a folder. It means I have a friend who knows me well and cares about me. It means I've started back to ladies' bible study... and that means I'm getting an hour and a half every week to recharge my batteries with some pretty awesome ladies!
  • Watching the boys play Just Dance - laughter IS good medicine
  • The sound of Hip Hop Hymns coming from the boys' room at night
  • Zack is getting involved with a praise & worship team again
  • New friends at The Village
  • I'm especially thankful for how God is moving in our family right now - it's making me anxious, expectant, scared, and excited!
What are you thankful for today?

Busy Busy Busy

Nothing new to report with the adoption process.  We're still waiting on that very last piece of paper, the USCIS approval.  I think our facilitator is already translating everything else.  We've got plenty of time, because it's still 70 days until we get to submit to the SDA.  I'll give them a few more weeks before I start bugging them for a status!

In the meantime, we're very busy right now!  Basketball and soccer are overlapping for 2 weeks.  So we have basketball on Monday night, soccer on Tuesday night, and church on Wednesday night for this week and next week.  I'm a little concerned about March 6, because he has his first soccer game AND his last basketball game. That's also the day of the basketball banquet, and the day Solnyshko's furniture is to be delivered.  Not sure how it will end up working out, but I'm not going to worry too much about it - we'll figure it out somehow.  We don't have the soccer schedule yet, so I'm not sure if the games will be a conflict or not.  William has already decided which one will win out if that happens - those that know him well can probably guess which one fairly easily.  But he does love both sports, and excels at both.
