Adoption Tax Credit

I read about this on Shay's blog. This is something we all need to take action on.

Please post about this and get the word out that this needs to be renewed.

Many families won't be able to afford to adopt without this credit.

If you have further information, feel free to post it in the comments section.

Another family heading for Ukraine!

See the button to the left with the 2 adorable girls on it? The one that says "Help Us Bring Our Daughters Home"? Well I'm happy to tell you that Mark and Courtney received notice of their SDA appointment yesterday - it's April 9th!!! (They submitted their dossier on March 16 - how's that for quick!?!)

We are so excited for this couple as they travel and seek to bring these 2 children into their family. Please be in prayer for all 6 of them (Dad, Mom, their 2 sons, and the girls). You can follow their adventures by clicking HERE.

Gulf Shores

We had a fantastic long weekend at Gulf Shores, Alabama. It was a 'big' family vacation, meaning the three of us, Zack’s parents, his brother, his brother’s girlfriend, our dog Adie, and his parents’ 2 dogs.

We had a great time hanging out, eating yummy (un-healthy) food, and just being together.

We explored Fort Morgan, just a few miles from where we were staying.

We ate at some great restaurants, including Lamberts, and Lulu’s (Jimmy Buffett’s sister’s restaurant)

We finally got to meet Amy and her son Adam (we missed you, Mike!)

And we took some family photos

What a fun time – the only problem was it was over all too fast!

And here are a few pictures I edited with picnik.com

The Kaysers are Home!

Welcome Home to Liera and Grady Kayser,
and congratulations to the entire Kayser family!
I don't think their blog is private anymore, so you can go on over and congratulate them yourself, and catch up on all their Ukrainian adventures.

Playing Catch-up

I finally uploaded a bunch of pictures off the computer so I can put some more recent stuff on here!

Here’s a pic of the yummy borsch we made back in February.2648_53788309725_760569725_1339891_6342553_n

Valentine’s night at the Gwinnett Gladiators hockey game. Yes, the ice was pink.

A trip to the Brick the last time we were in Milledgeville

Eric & Michaele’s baby shower

Brayden Nolte’s baptism this past Sunday – William went to “big church” with us to see this important event.2648_53788524725_760569725_1339927_6568891_n 2648_53788519725_760569725_1339926_4682445_n

Snow in Georgia

This week has been Dr. Seuss week at school. William was sad that there was no school on Monday (due to snow & ice) so he couldn’t wear his backwards & inside-out clothes for Mixed-up Monday. But he wore Zack’s silly hair-hat for Top Hat Tuesday (here’s a picture of him wearing it last night)

Yesterday was Wacky Wednesday and they wore silly socks (no picture). Today is Tacky Thursday, so here’s the outfit we put together. Pastel plaid shirt, John Deere t-shirt, brown pants, some of my striped socks, and soccer flops.

Still around

This may be my longest break between posts ever - oops!

I have finals this week. Then I'll have a week off from school and we'll be enjoying a long weekend at the beach (Gulf Shores, AL) - yay! We're hopeful that we'll be meeting some of our "adoption friends" while there. After that I begin my very last class of my MBA!

So what else has been going on? In addition to school... and work... our Ukrainian-themed lunch back in February went well, Zack & I joined an awesome new small group at church, William started back to soccer, I had a terrible stomach flu last week, Zack did an awesome job sprucing up the cabinets in William's bathroom and the half bath, we hosted a baby shower for our awesome friends Eric & Michaele, and William is going on his very first play date this Friday after school.

Please be in prayer for some of our other "adoption friends", the Kaysers. Shad (Daddy Kayser) will traveling from region to Kyiv tonight - with their new daughter and son!! I'm sure once he's home they'll open their blog back up and everyone can read about their amazing adventures. But until then, please pray for safe travels and for endurance to finish the race - they should be back home in America this weekend!! We praise God for leading this sweet family to their Ukie children.

And just for fun, here's a pic of my two most favorite guys in the world!
