12 days of prayer: Day 7

Today, we pray for William.
William is very excited about all that is about to happen, and especially excited to be a big brother. If you ask him what's happening next week, he'll tell you "we're going to Ukraine to adopt a child." Those are HIS words, and honestly he seems to have a really good understanding of things.

But this will definitely be a big transition period for William as well. He's been the only one for 2 1/2 years. And suddenly, he's going to be asked to share everything. Toys. Books. Space. Daddy & Mommy.

I think overall this is going to be a great thing for William. But it IS going to take some adjustments. I pray that he will handle it well, and that he & his sibling(s) will build a good friendship & relationship that will last throughout their lives.

I pray he will understand that the growth of our family does not change our love for him. I ask God to provide him with patience, kindness, and self-control as we all seek a new normal for our family.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7:7-8

So praying for William. I think he and EK understand the surface but will have to live the deeper part to understand! They will be fine because we love them so much and so does God. I am praying!!!
Blessings!

I am so on board with this prayer request! When I think about a second adoption, so much of my concern is for Isabel and her transition, and I know you must feel the same way about William. He'll be a great big brother, and we'll pray for a smooth transition into his new role!
