Today's prayer is for Dad & Mom, Zack and Jenn.God gave us the desire to pursue parenthood in the summer of 2002. Little did we know that our first son had just been born. We spent several years on our pursuit, and God used that time to challenge us, break us, and build us, equipping us for what He had planned.
In early 2007, God opened our eyes to His plan for us to adopt. Nine months to the day after we committed to adopt, we were sitting in the SDA office, geting our very first look at a picture of our William.
In late 2009, God revealed another part of His plan to us, and we began the process to adopt again.
Many people ask us, "have you seen a picture of your child yet?", "do you know if it's a boy or girl?", "how old is your child?"
We don't have those answers, and we won't before we travel. It is a journey of faith.
But then, that pretty much sums up the Christian walk. How can we truly commune with God and grow closer to Him unless we let go and allow Him to work, having faith that He will see us through?
We are praying that God will clearly speak to us as we journey halfway around the world to find a child we love but have never seen. We ask Him to give us wisdom, peace, and patience throughout the process. We ask Him to clearly reveal our child(ren) to us at our June 16th appointment.
We pray He will put a love in our hearts for the child(ren) that He calls us to adopt. We ask Him to give us the appropriate parenting skills to meet the needs of the child(ren). And we ask God to remove any doubts, anxiety, and worries we have.
We pray for boldness and clarity, and we pray that God equips us for all that is in store. We give up control to Him, and ask that He take over and lead us in the way that we should go.
Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought.
People who "worry their prayers" are like wind-whipped waves.

I truly can't wait to see what God has in store for your family. An amazing present you get to open in only a few days! Wow!
Just wanted to wish you the very best as you head over for this journey ahead! So very exciting. I know you will be very blessed!
Amen again! I know God will honor your obedience to His plan for your family!
We get the same questions, too, and you can only explain by faith! By the way, did you set up a room yet? I am doing that this summer and trying to decide if I should set up one twin bed or two??? God bless!
