Guest blogger: William

(be sure to read the post below about visiting William's orphanage)

William has agreed to answer some reader questions, so here goes.
Charissa asked, Have you seen anything interesting there?
Yes, I saw a hedgehog in Kyiv.

Charissa asked, What are you missing most about home?
Our dog, Adia. And my family.

Charissa asked, What is your new brother like?
He's small, and he likes to play hide & seek. He is fun to play with. He talks a lot. He is smart. He wants me to carry him a lot, but he is a little bit too heavy.

Mama of 2 and Counting asked, Do you remember speaking Russian at all, or do you find it pretty easy to re-learn?
I don't remember any Russian. I've learned a few words, but it's hard to learn.

Mama of 2 and Counting asked, What do you think you can do to help Elvis adjust to coming home?
I will sleep with him in his room and teach him English. I wouldn't let people pick him, but I will protect him. I will introduce him to my friends and family.

Mama of 2 and Counting asked, Do you like being involved in the adoption process for Elvis so you can see what your mom and dad were doing when they adopted you?
Yes. I didn't know there was so much paperwork and waiting. Sometimes it's a lot of fun and sometimes it's boring.

Charissa & the Tarkovich family asked, What is your favorite food in Ukraine?
Meat, bread, cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, bananas, apples, borscht

The McEacherns asked, do you think it's easy to make friends even when you don't speak the same language? How do you communicate with them?
No, it's not easy. I use my hands to show them and to understand.

Winnie asked, What do you think you'll do when your new little brother gets into your stuff and makes you angry?
I will tell my mom and dad. They will take care of it.

Winnie asked, Mom and Dad will be spending a lot of time helping your new brother adjust when you get home. Do you think you will be jealous not being an only child anymore?
No.

Gina asked, What do you like best about your new little brother?
He talks a lot.

Gina asked, Did you want a brother or sister?
I wanted a brother.

Charissa, Lisa K & Monica both asked, What is the first thing you want to do with your new brother when you get back in Georgia?
Play Star Wars with him. Teach him.

Aunt Sue asked, what are some of the things you are looking forward to teaching your little bro?
English, playing Star Wars, playing soccer and football and baseball, take him to church and teach him about Jesus and God
