12 days of prayer: Day 10

Today we pray for The Unknown.

After all, there is much about this journey that is unknown. Unlike many countries, we won't be traveling to Ukraine with a picture in our hand of the child we're pursuing. We don't know the child's gender or age, or anything else that would help us to be more prepared.

But here's what we do know...

God knows!

He knows everything. He knows the child or children that are in Ukraine right now but will soon be a part of our family. he knows which region we'll travel to. He knows the date we will meet them, the date that we'll have court, the date we'll return home as a forever family. He knows their backgrounds, their personalities, the hardships they've already endured. He's always been with them. We are thankful for that.

The fact that we don't know anything about our child(ren) is just one of many unknowns. We pray that God will guide us through the unknowns, opening doors when we should move , and slamming them shut when it's not the right path. We pray that He will give us peace and will speak clearly to us, through His word, through people and places we encounter, and in any tangible way that will allow us to follow Him more closely.

So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose?
If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us?
