Luda had arranged for a driver to pick us up each morning at 9:50. We were told he'd be driving a dark Kia. Dark seemed a little vague, until it hit me that the Russian words many people use for dark and black were the same. So we found our driver in his black Kia, and he drove us to the internat.
Every morning when we'd arrive at 10 AM, I'd walk to the office of the director, and her assistant
After our visit, our driver would take us back to the apartment. We'd hang out and eat lunch, and watch some TV. We had no channels in English, but we could usually find soccer or basketball. I would often go ahead and write emails and blog posts, and save them and some pictures onto our flash drive. Then we'd walk down to the internet cafe for an hour.
Then we'd walk back to the apartment and get settled in for the night (remember, it got dark around 4:00!). Occasionally we would go back out once more, usually to Supermarket Moskva in the first floor of the building next door. But often we'd stay in for the evening as we didn't really like to venture out in the dark.
We'd nap and read for a while. Then we'd watch an episode of 24. After that we'd make dinner and watch another episode. We'd also watch an episode or two of The Office. We'd often watch a movie before bed.
Then it was off to try and get some sleep before another day of the same. Sometimes it was hard to fall asleep because the people in the apartment above us were very loud. They would play the piano at times. Or it would sound like they were dancing, or moving furniture, or as Zack once said, bowling! After a few nights of that, we began listening to the I-Pod as we went to sleep, to try and drown out the noise.

As I re-read your post about the daily routine, it brought back such memories.
Funny how it seems so long ago, yet was less than a year ago for us.
Thanks for sharing!
While yall were going through your "routine" and getting to know William, we at home were missing yall, hanging on every word either by blog, email or Skype, and counting the days til yall got home. Seems so long ago now !!
