Another Vera update... URGENT NEED

Detailed information about Vera was just added to the Reece's Rainbow site.

As I had feared, she is facing institutionalization in the very near future. Please don't let this happen. I am confident that there is someone out there who has been considering Vera - please contact Andrea today!

from Reece's Rainbow...

Infantile cerebral paralysis, double hip dysplasia, systemic violation of the speech (middle level) She is very friendly and smiley girl. She eats herself, can walk holding somebody`s hand. After spending some time with her you start understanding Vera`s speech. According to caregivers words she is very prospective girl, she only needs individual support and treatment.

Vera is facing the mental institution soon.
Please someone give her the life she deserves!

Maybe this question is too personal - but wouldn't it be possible for you to add sweet Vera to your family?

Hi Milena! How great that you are blogging to help find a family for Nadya! I'll be praying for a family to commit to her as well.

I appreciate your question. In all honesty, yes, it is personal, but that's okay! We have been praying and continue to pray about God's will for our current adoption. For reasons that *are* personal, we are not personally pursuing Vera's adoption. God is leading us in a very specific direction on our journey, and we are following with faith and excitement. But because we are able to self-fund our adoption this time, I wanted to find some way to "pay it forward": to help another family and and another child in their journey; and a way to pay forward the support and kindnesses that were shown to us during William's adoption.

Thanks for your honesty and for praying for Vera, Nadya, and all the other orphans waiting for their families!

Jenn, I hesitated to tell you this in case you were thinking about pursuing Vera, but now I can let you know that there is a family that is seriously considering her right now. They have not made a commitment yet but I hope they are able to soon! (Oh, and it's not our family--we have our eyes somewhere else. ;))

Jenn, thank you for your kind answer to my question. Please be sure that I by no means wanted you to feel guilt! I guess I just felt your strong feelings for Vera and got curious... Everyone should do what is right for them. I'm sure God is calling you in an interesting direction, one that is right for your own family! And I do think it is a wonderful thing you are doing for Vera!

Thank you so much for praying for Nadya! She is so close to my heart and I wish that a family will realize how she'll be the perfect daughter for them! And, btw, welcome to Nadya's blog! I saw that you signed up as a follower. It made me so happy.

Courtney, it's wonderful that one family is strongly considering Vera! I'm so happy for her, and I hope "all the pieces of the puzzle come together" for that family so that they'll be able to adopt her! And I do get curious about who you have your eyes on :-) Is your beautiful family expanding?

I had a dream about a week ago that my husband and I were in Ukraine adopting a little girl with cerebral palsy. She could walk with help and had a speech delay. You can imagine the shock I had when I noticed Vera's update yesterday. I talked to my husband and he was ready to drop everything, move to a different province (it would be needed because of Ontario's strict rules) and pursue this adoption but we realize that it would take more time than little Vera has. I know in my heart that whatever family decides to adopt Vera will be incredibly blessed. I also want to point out that there are other little girls who could be adopted with Vera. Vika, Olga and Alina are all from the same orphanage.
