So we made our way to Norcross and found the place. The varenyky were yummy and the borsch was some of the best we've had. We were finally able to try golubtsi (cabbage rolls stuffed with meat & rice), and we enjoyed it as well.
Then we found a European deli called Arbat. We purchased several of our favorites, which worked out well because we have friends coming over after church tomorrow for a "Ukrainian lunch"! Zack and I have been busy in the kitchen this afternoon, preparing borsch, Korean carrot salad, and a Greek-style salad - all favorites from our time in Ukraine. Tomorrow we'll prepare the vareniky and perogi to go along with everything else (as well as some chicken fingers and fries for the kiddos).
Here are our finds from Arbat...

Oh, YUM. I don't believe we have anything like that around here. I wish.
How wonderful! What a treat for your family and friends!!!

How was your lunch? Personally I never loved too many foods in Ukraine (I am a picky eater), but that juice was to die for!! I also liked that apple beverage in your picture (whatever it is called).
Isn't picnik neat? I've done pictures, but never posted any to our blog. Maybe I'll do that...
Ohh, once we move up there (hopefully within 3 weeks!) we will have to take the kids there. I need to get some of that juice too!!!
Sounds like a lot of fun! I cannot get over how big William looks!

Yum! So, how did it all turn out? My friend are waiting for me to have a borsht party! :)
What a neat place. I wish we had something like that around here.
