William's hometown came in at #45 - pretty amazing that they could get past the metalurgical gases to conduct a study there!

Like you, I'm a bit surprised to see Mariupol on the list at all based on the factories belching out smoke and the grimy nature of the city. But glad to see it's there.
MUCH to my surprise, Ivano-Frankivsk is rated #5! It actually is a nice, quaint little city located in a very beautiful part of Ukraine (near the Carpathian mountains.) Now that I think about it, at least what we saw of it really was relatively clean and well maintained city. However, that is also the only real city in the region. The rest are just small towns and villages - which is really where we adopted our kids from. We made several trips into the "big" city during our adventure, but it was about 50miles north of where our kids really were.
We were one before you, Dnipro (#44). Stay tuned for round 2. God willing we'll know in 4 short weeks ;)

We are not even on the list! Of course I could see why not with the open man holes and sewage flowing through never ending sewer overflows (at least while we were there)! I wonder if you compared these cities to the U.S.A. where they would fall?
